As an intern during the summer of 2010 at The Newton TAB and its online site Wicked Local Newton I wrote feature stories on the faces and places of Newton, Massachusetts. The experience of reporting and writing for a hyperlocal paper and website allowed me to explore community journalism and flex my reporting skills. I wrote on a variety of topics, from a new treatment for depression to the 4th generation ownership of a Newton hardware store.
